- ➤ L3Harris Technologies began construction on the Arkansas Advanced Propulsion Facilities in Camden in partnership with Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders and local leaders — the 110-acre campus will have over 20 new buildings and add 230,000 square feet of manufacturing space for solid rocket motors. The project is part of a broader investment to expand domestic defense production and create good-paying jobs. ABC 7
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A copper wire theft and vandalism at Ed Gordon Point Remove Wildlife Management Area in Conway County caused over $50,000 in damage and will delay repairs on a pump rated 200 horsepower that floods 20 moist soil impoundments ahead of duck season—AGFC is asking anyone with information to call its Enforcement Radio Room or the Conway County Sheriff's Office. - ➤ The MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History in Little Rock is showcasing several pieces of World War II artwork for visitors to view. The exhibit offers a look at important military history during this current display period. THV 11

- ➤ Weird Al Yankovic will perform on June 20 at Simmons Bank Arena as part of his 'Bigger & Weirder Tour' this summer—tickets go on sale November 21. ABC 7

- ➤ The Little Rock School District is building Pinnacle View High School in west Little Rock and expects the project to be complete by 2027 — the construction is on track. THV 11
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The North Little Rock Public Library System announced that its board voted to not renew the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub's lease in 2026—budget concerns led the decision to maintain system stability. The Hub will continue providing classes, maker programs, and community resources until the end of 2025—fully grant-funded programs like Skills to Launch will also keep operating. ABC 7
- ➤ An Arkansas father urged state leaders to reform disability services after a viral post showed his struggles caring for his daughter with a rare genetic disorder called CTNNB1 syndrome—he met with lawmakers and launched Arkansas Children First to shorten the CES Waiver Program wait that can last two and a half years. Gov. Sarah Sanders’ office said meeting the needs of vulnerable children is a top priority as efforts to reduce the waitlist continue. ABC 7
- ➤ On Tuesday, activists from Arkansas Renters United delivered a letter at Little Rock City Hall asking Mayor Frank Scott Jr. to address rising evictions and unsafe housing conditions amid over 3800 filings in Pulaski County—officials said they have updated tenant information and will advance affordable housing plans.
