- ➤ Sherwood Army veteran Odus Rambo celebrated his 100th birthday in Cabot on November 16th, surrounded by family and friends—he served in the Pacific during World War II, retired from the railroad in 1986, and still walks on his treadmill daily. FOX 16
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Young artists from across Arkansas gathered at the Capitol Saturday for the Arkansas Peace Week Youth Art Contest awards ceremony—winners from grades 1 to 12 were announced and their artwork, chosen from hundreds of submissions to show what peace means, is on display. Organizers said the contest educates and promotes peacemaking while raising awareness of groups working for lasting peace in Arkansas. FOX 16

- ➤ Arkansas has become a national model for education reform after the University of Arkansas launched the Department of Education Reform twenty years ago—its research has driven changes like raising teacher salaries, boosting literacy programs, and expanding school choice under the LEARNS Act. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Little Rock Air Force base announced that it will hold two combat readiness exercises over the next month. Phase one runs from today through Thursday and phase two is set for Dec. 1 to 5—during the drills, there may be increased personnel activity, loud noises from the base’s Giant Voice System, and a one-hour simulated active shooter lockdown that could affect Arnold Gate operations from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Deputy U.S. Marshal Jeremy Hammons shared his lifelong passion for the U.S. Marshals Service by displaying historical memorabilia including Bass Reeves badges at his Little Rock office on Oct. 31—items that mark his long study of the agency's history. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ Jason Brown, a personal trainer at Little Rock Athletic Club, shows the EZ Bar Overhead Triceps Press and explains how barbell training builds muscle strength.
