- ➤ Today, almost 290,000 Arkansans go deer hunting, and hunters may donate extra deer to the Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry program to help local food banks amid the government shutdown. Local processors like Kruse Meat Products will turn donated venison into over 100 meals per deer—supporting families who face high food costs. THV 11
- ➤ Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance will host its Turnip for Hunger volunteer harvest event from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 22 at Heifer Ranch on 55 Heifer Road in Perryville — turnips will be harvested to be delivered to food banks amid SNAP uncertainty. The organization has doubled its turnip planting to help families as food pantries struggle. FOX 16
- ➤ Officials at Little Rock National Cemetery are asking for public donations to place a live fur wreath on each veteran’s grave for Christmas morning—donations of $17 must be made by midnight on Thanksgiving and will support wreath placement on December 13. FOX 16

- ➤ Crews & Associates Inc. is moving to First Security Park in west Little Rock & about 140 of its downtown workers will join First Security Bank staff in a total move of 200 employees by mid- to late November. - ➤ The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas started this week on constructing an 84,700 square-foot warehouse and distribution facility at its Little Rock campus.
