- ➤ Central Arkansas radio stations 102.9 KARN and Alice 107.7 have announced a November food drive to benefit the Arkansas Food Bank—supporting families during the holiday season. The drive will run daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Chris Crain Dodge Jeep Ram in Benton at 7800 Alcoa Road, and live broadcasts will air on Thursday and Friday. FOX 16

- ➤ Buddy from Elf the Musical told THV11 that the show will play at the Robinson Center in Little Rock this weekend — the production is set to bring a festive spirit to local audiences. THV 11
FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ Uniti Group Inc. reported a 3Q net income of $1.61B with a revenue of $722.6 million and an expected full-year revenue between $2.22B and $2.27B following its merger with Windstream. U-Haul ended operations at its repair shop on 4809 W. 65th St.—which will now serve as storage—while the Arkansas Index closed Tuesday at 915.63 with a drop of 3.86 points amid a broader market slide. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Little Rock opened three warming centers — Dunbar, Southwest, and West Central Community Centers — to give people a safe place to stay warm during the cold. They operate Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ABC 7
- ➤ After federal guidelines reduced SNAP benefits, Sam Thurmond and over 240,000 Arkansans had to improvise with food as local pantries in Little Rock saw rising numbers, sometimes up to 230 visitors a day. The state Department of Human Services announced it is recalculating benefits and will provide further details once funding is restored. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Officials at the Department of Finance and Administration said October revenues surpassed forecasts and pointed to a strong job market and fiscal stability. Year-to-date collections increased by about 4% over expectations—evidence of a stable state revenue outlook. FOX 16

- ➤ A study by WalletHub ranked Arkansas as the third most overweight state with high obesity, inactivity, diabetes and high blood pressure. The report said poor diets and low access to healthy foods + sedentary lifestyles are driving these serious health challenges. FOX 16
- ➤ The Arkansas Crisis Center and UAMS have teamed up to review 20 years of crisis hotline data to learn more about suicide prevention. The project is led by Dr. Elissa Wilburn — a clinical psychologist and ACC board member— and will use the findings to set stronger strategies for helping those in crisis. FOX 16

- ➤ The Arkansas Razorbacks dropped to 2—7 after a close one-score home loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, marking their seventh straight defeat. The team had 18 penalties for 193 yards—nearly matching the 194 passing yards thrown—and they have scored 317 points while giving up 300 on the season. ABC 7
