- ➤ Officials from Allsopp & Chapple announced a new restaurant called Hazel’s Public House will open downtown in early 2026—focusing on simple ingredients, quality flavors, and artisanal comfort food like burgers on house-baked brioche buns. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Forward Arkansas launched a statewide pilot tutoring program in five districts including Little Rock, eStem Public Charter Schools, Arkadelphia, Hamburg and Texarkana + the initiative ties regular tutoring to student performance. Students will meet in small groups three times a week for at least 30 minutes and progress will be measured by report card growth and standardized test data + school leaders plan to expand the model if results are positive. - ➤ Arvest Bank has restarted its Arvest Assist program and is offering a disaster relief loan program through Nov. 21 for customers facing paycheck disruption during the ongoing government shutdown — while Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield is asking for non-perishable food and personal care item donations at its ArkansasBlue Welcome Centers until Nov. 14.
