  • The Little Rock School Board approved a $347 million budget for fiscal 2026 last week. The budget, which began on July 1, will support local schools and education programs.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Communities in Little Rock and nearby cities have experienced reduced bus service since Rock Region Metro cut routes over five years ago—losses that continue to affect residents.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

HEALTH NEWS

  • Her Pink Promise hosted an event in Little Rock to raise money and awareness for breast cancer—15 survivors and 6 families who lost loved ones were honored, and funds raised will support research and care services.  ABC 7
  • Personal trainer Paul Fajer from the Little Rock Athletic Club demonstrates the Stretch Band Push Up—an exercise suited for all fitness levels—to help locals build lasting workout commitment. SPORTS NEWS

  • Razorback fans were divided after coach Sam Pittman was fired on Sunday, with some expressing sadness while many look forward to Bobby Petrino’s return as interim coach — they recall his strong past record and hope for future upsets.  THV 11

  • High school football returns in Arkansas as Yarnell’s Premium Ice Cream sponsors Sweetest Play of the Week to let fans vote on their favorite play.
