- ➤ At Sunday's Downtown Food Truck Festival, Island Noodles had about 30 people waiting in the northwest corner of 30 Crossing greenspace—its busy line showed strong local support. - ➤ Today, the Bryant 9/11 stair climb at Hornet Arena brought first responders and local residents together to honor nearly 2,900 lives lost and the 343 firefighters who died on September 11. Family members Jennifer and Jack McNamara — remembering their fallen relative John F. McNamara — led heartfelt speeches as the event will expand next year under the Saline County 911 Memorial name. - ➤ On Sunday at the State Capitol, the Parents of Murdered Children held a remembrance to honor loved ones killed by homicide—reflecting the deep pain of families affected by gun violence. - ➤ Nearly three months after Pulaski County's Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit closed, social workers and law enforcement say the loss has reduced access to emergency mental health care—resulting in some people being arrested instead of receiving treatment for mental health issues and addiction. - ➤ Erica Shepherd won the Epson Tour's El Dorado Shootout at Mystic Creek Golf Club with a birdie on the 18th hole and Mark Graham won the Arkansas State Golf Association Senior Amateur with birdies on Nos. 16 and 18—both events ended Sunday. - ➤ Arkansas lost 32-31 to Memphis when a missed tackle allowed a 64-yard touchdown run—giving the Tigers the lead with 4:51 left—and Coach Sam Pittman said his team did not fix its defensive issues after injuries and previous struggles. - ➤ Little Rock Marathon held its second annual Logan’s Run on September 20 at Murray Park to honor Logan Bussard and to begin training for the one-mile All-Abilities Marathon in March.
