- ➤ The Arkansas National Guard is hosting its annual Minuteman Day at Camp Robinson this Saturday to let people learn about its work and military training. Gates open at 7 a.m.—the day will have a 5K run at 8 a.m., a flyover at 9 a.m., track and field contests, and a free barbecue contest. ABC 7
- ➤ The Central Arkansas Development Council will give away free food on September 18 at eight sites in Pulaski County—Saint Mark Baptist Church and St. Paul Baptist Church in Little Rock, St. Mark Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Wrightsville City Hall, First Baptist Church in Alexander, Mt. Nebo A.M.E. in College Station, and First Baptist Church in Woodson; recipients must meet income guidelines and show a photo ID to get items like grape juice, fruit mix, and peanut butter. FOX 16

- ➤ A bear that attacked 72-year-old Vernon Patton on Wednesday while he was working on his tractor laying gravel at Mulberry Mountain Lodge—2 miles north of Cass—tested negative for rabies and distemper after a game warden shot the 70-pound animal, and Patton remains stable after surgery at UAMS. - ➤ Arkansas history is now available online after the David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History digitized over 75 years of KATV Channel 7 News footage—this living archive captures moments from Elizabeth Eckford’s protest at Central High to the 1980 implosion of local hotels and will add new content as it grows. - ➤ Officials announced that the International Greek Food Festival will return to Little Rock from October 3 & October 4. The two-day event at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church will offer authentic Greek food, pastries, and family-friendly activities & cultural traditions while benefiting local charities. FOX 16
- ➤ Multi-platinum rock group Trans-Siberian Orchestra will perform at Simmons Bank Arena on December 4 at 7 p.m. in North Little Rock as part of their 2025 Winter Tour and holiday show The Ghosts of Christmas Eve: The Best of TSO and More — which features a special production with a tribute to Beethoven’s Last Night.
