- ➤ Late Sunday night on Lake Hamilton, Andrew Eason of Mabelvale and two others were killed when a speeding boat lacking navigation lights struck their pontoon boat near Little Goat Island at 11:08 p.m.—the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is investigating the collision. FOX 16

Gary Stubblefield, who died on Sept. 2 at UAMS, and his body will lie in state at the Capitol Rotunda in Little Rock from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 11 and at a funeral home chapel in Charleston from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 12—his service will be held Saturday, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. at Charleston High School Gymnasium with burial at Lowes Creek Cemetery near Branch.
