- ➤ Deputies from the Pulaski County sheriff's office recovered a male body from the Arkansas River near the Main Street and Broadway bridge at 7 a.m. Thursday after a jogger reported seeing it in the water, and the agency is investigating the case. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ A Crawford County jury sentenced 36-year-old Miami man Derrick Scudder to life behind bars for fentanyl trafficking on August 5 — he also received extra years for methamphetamine trafficking and fleeing after crashing his car on Highway 64. ABC 7
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Today, the Little Rock School District unveiled its new fleet of zero-emission electric buses that drive up to 130 miles on a full charge and take two hours to recharge — funded by over nine million dollars from the EPA Clean Bus Program. The district will use the buses to transport special needs students and expects them to save 100-thousand dollars a year in fuel costs. ABC 7
