- ➤ A new 2025 study by Zutobi.com shows that Arkansas ranks fifth among states for teen traffic deaths—recording about 39.44 fatalities per 100,000 teen drivers. Capt. Brad Lann of the state police said speeding, distracted driving and following too closely are key factors and ARDOT will launch the Street Smart program on August 15th to teach middle school students safe driving behaviors. - ➤ Little Rock city leaders are preparing to review an action plan that will use $20 million in HUD disaster recovery funds to help rebuild homes, businesses, and infrastructure damaged during the March 31st tornado outbreak. Housing Director Kevin Howard said the board will evaluate the plan at a Tuesday night meeting (detailing eligible spending for housing repairs, mitigation, and economic development) before submitting it to the federal agency.
