- ➤ The Van, a local non-profit helping unhoused citizens, is urgently searching for a space for a winter shelter after previous plans fell through as the current shelter system remains overwhelmed. The organization has raised $275,000 so far (and recently made an offer on a new facility) to provide access for those in need when winter arrives. ABC 7

- ➤ Late Saturday night, shots rang out in Little Rock’s River Market causing dozens to flee (no injuries were reported) as police plan to share more details soon. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ The Arkansas Broadcasters Association announced five inductees into its Hall of Fame, including posthumous honorees Ed Buckner and Bob Knight. The inductees will be honored at a banquet on September 15 — nominations came in writing from family, friends and colleagues. ABC 7

- ➤ Congressman French Hill discussed the rising theft of SNAP benefits and urged states to boost their cyber protections while addressing Medicaid work requirements that affect only able-bodied adults without children or disabilities—he also defended a spending bill that blocks a 27% tax hike and supports safety net programs for families and farmers. - ➤ Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. proposed a weekend curfew for youths under 18, set to run from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays until August 31.
