ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A deadly crash on Morrison Bluff bridge in Logan County killed sisters Mackenzie and Maddie—leaving communities grieving and a memorial service to be held at Scranton High School gym at 10 a.m. today.  KARK

CULTURE NEWS

  • Little Rock duo Cliff & Susan were named Entertainer of the Year on Monday at Reynolds Performance Hall in Conway and won awards for Vocal Duo/Group and Album for Fiddle & Keys. The event also honored artists Hannah Blaylock as Female Vocalist and Tyler Kinch as Male Vocalist.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Little Rock's Parkview Arts/Science Magnet High School will begin nearly $7 million in auditorium renovations this summer—work is expected to finish by Dec. 31 as the project is funded by the School District’s Capital Improvement Program and led by Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects and Kinco Construction.  ABC 7

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Arkansas hunters must apply online by 11:59 p.m. on July 1 for a 2025 deer hunt permit in the Wildlife Management Areas. The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission said that a $5 fee covers each hunt type, with special options for youth, mobility-impaired hunters, and groups of four.  KARK

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Razorbacks swept North Dakota State and Creighton in their home regional this past weekend and will host Tennessee in a best-of-three series starting at 4 p.m. Saturday at Baum-Walker Stadium—Coach Dave Van Horn said the team played errorless baseball and earned their postseason run by striking out opponents and scoring 26 runs in three games.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
