- ➤ Maumelle Aquatic Center has opened for summer today as recertified lifeguards begin duty amid staffing shortages + city staff remind visitors to follow safety rules. The center plans to add events including a new food truck park later this season. THV 11
- ➤ Julie Delashaw, an outreach librarian with North Little Rock Library System, has made 328 homebound deliveries since January, providing over 1,100 items to seniors + careful support to younger patrons who rely on the service. - ➤ The 2026–27 Arkansas Wildlife calendar now features QR codes that link to wildlife sounds paired with photos and artwork, letting subscribers use their smartphone to listen indoors or out. It is available only with a magazine subscription for the July–Aug issue. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ Arkansas turkey hunters recorded 13,591 birds during the season that ended May 10 — the highest spring harvest since 2006 — and officials say that conservative seasons and habitat improvements helped boost the number of mature gobblers. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
