- ➤ Little Rock police identified Nicole Lambert, 44, fatally shot just before 3 a.m. on 24th Street early Monday morning — and they arrested Randy Cunning, 58, who faces a capital murder charge. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Reagan Danielle Gray, a former volunteer for Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, pleaded no contest to second-degree sexual assault on Monday after being accused of grooming and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy in 2020 and 2021 and was sentenced to six years of probation, a $1,000 fine, and sex offender registration. - ➤ Former Monroe County judge Thomas David Carruth was sentenced to 2 years in federal prison after a jury found him guilty of obstruction of justice for lying to the FBI about soliciting sex from a defendant’s girlfriend in exchange for lenient treatment—he remains free on bond and must self-report on Aug. 22. - ➤ Yesterday, the Little Rock Board of Directors discussed a proposal to loan $7.5 million to the city housing authority to help stop a foreclosure on over 200 units at Madison Heights near Fair Park Boulevard and West 12th Street. Mayor Frank Scott Jr. said the board will vote on the plan on June 3, and officials explained the deal requires HUD certification (with audited records) before funds are disbursed.
