- ➤ Traffic on I-57 between Jacksonville and Cabot slowed nearly to a standstill Thursday afternoon from Vandenberg Blvd on Exit 11 to the Pulaski County line as ARDOT cameras recorded the jam and drivers faced major delays. ABC 7
- ➤ Local non-profit Our House broke ground on a $12M expansion at 302 E. Roosevelt Road in Little Rock to add 11 family housing units and 44 beds that will help people transition from homelessness to stability. The 12-month project, designed by local architects (Herron Horton Architects) and including outdoor spaces, a new bus stop, bike racks and a 5,000-square-foot center (boosting capacity by about 25%), will offer on-campus career services, case management and mental health support. - ➤ Little Rock police are investigating a homicide that occurred today on Geyer Springs Road when officers responded to a shooting that left a man with a gunshot wound who later died at a local hospital, and no details have been released about the victim or any suspects. THV 11
- ➤ The Little Rock Police Department is asking the public for help finding 32-year-old Maria Griffin, who was last seen in Little Rock and is described as 5'2" tall and weighing about 230 pounds—officials say anyone with information should contact the department. THV 11
- ➤ A motorist struck and killed a pedestrian on West 12th Street in Little Rock on Wednesday night near the 4400 block about one mile southeast of War Memorial Stadium at 8:25 p.m.—authorities said the investigation remains open with no charges filed. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ On Wednesday, the Arkansas House of Representatives approved House Bill 1915 which directs the Department of Human Services to develop a broad based categorical eligibility waiver for SNAP and resets its asset limit to $6,000 (this amount will be automatically adjusted every two years). - ➤ Senate President Pro Tempore Bart Hester said today the $750 million bill for a 3,000-bed prison in Franklin County will not return for a Senate vote after it got only 20 votes out of the 27 needed on five tries. Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders supported the bill but critics say the plan lacks needed infrastructure improvements—like roads and water systems. KARK

- ➤ Baptist Health performed its first robotic-assisted bronchoscopy procedure on Wednesday in Little Rock — the new Ion system allowed precise, minimally invasive biopsies to help diagnose lung cancer.
