- ➤ Lillian Baker — an 11th grader at Sheridan High School named the 2026 Arkansas Poetry Out Loud champion — will compete in the national semifinals in Washington, D.C. on April 28. - ➤ 92-year-old bluesman Bobby Rush, whose new album earned a Grammy nomination and whose film work drew attention last year, will headline the Arkansas Folklife Festival at Riverfront Park in North Little Rock on June 26.
