- ➤ Authorities deactivated the Amber Alert after finding 16-year-old Sophia Martha Franklin safe and arresting 40-year-old Gary Day from Cabot—though the exact location where they were found remains unknown. ABC 7

- ➤ Violent storms battered areas in the South and Midwest with tornadoes, heavy rain and strong winds that damaged homes, downed trees and power lines across several states, including 22 counties in northeast Arkansas where a rare tornado emergency was declared.
