- ➤ Melissa Carper and Theo Lawrence will headline the inaugural benefit concert for Natural State of Being on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Rusty Tractor Vineyards (10 Rusty Tractor Lane) in Little Rock with admission at $20. The nonprofit, started in February to build container-style tiny houses and an organic farm for homeless individuals and those facing mental health and addiction issues, will also feature Brian Martin and Jason Carper (joining the evening lineup). - ➤ On Saturday night, a 19-year-old Mabelvale man, John Bruce Martinez, died after losing control of his vehicle on Interstate 40 near the Morgan/Maumelle Exit when his car reached 130 mph, and three 17-year-old passengers were treated at Arkansas Children's Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries + state troopers said the chase began following a North Little Rock police request. - ➤ On March 30th in McAlmont, police found Martina Knight dead at 12:40 a.m.—authorities arrested Brandon Knight Sr. who now faces charges of first-degree murder, firearm possession and public intoxication. ABC 7

- ➤ Little Rock city directors will vote Tuesday on whether to renew an $188,000 contract for software that helps police detect gunshots. Some residents have questioned its effectiveness — they urge leaders to end the surveillance measure. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Today, officials with ARDOT announced that eastbound lanes on Colonel Glenn Road under I-430 will close at 8:30 a.m. for repairs to fix damage from a trash truck strike and will remain closed until 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
