- ➤ The Little Rock Zoo announced last week that beloved cheetah Maggie died from acute pancreatitis and had been a cherished resident since 2012. She is survived by two brothers — a reminder of her lasting role in the exhibit. ABC 7
- ➤ Family, friends and first responders are mourning paramedic Courtney Hagar, who died suddenly on March 21 after 20 years with MEMS — she was known for taking care of everyone. MEMS will hold a blood drive tomorrow at 1121 West 7th St from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m, and a funeral service will follow on March 28. THV 11

- ➤ Deputies responded at 2:30 p.m. on March 23 after a local resident found human remains in a field near the 21000 block of Roland Cut Off Road — the remains were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for testing. ABC 7
- ➤ Little Rock police identified Tony Smith, 21, as a suspect wanted for capital murder after a shooting homicide occurred Sunday at 10220 Sibley Hole Road around 1:41 p.m.—the investigation is ongoing. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ A study by a national nonprofit—one that opposes dangerous truck configurations—found that heavier tractor trailers have hurt bridges across the country, especially in Arkansas, and warned that bridge safety could worsen if truck weights keep rising. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Arkansas residents are urged by the Department of Finance and Administration to get their Real ID before May 7 for flights and access to federal buildings as lines at the Central Revenue Office grow.
