- ➤ Lexicon will invest $37.6 million to expand its headquarters and operations in Little Rock, creating 60 new jobs over the next two years. Construction is set to begin this year, with plans that include a 5,000 square foot addition to the corporate office at the Port of Little Rock and facility upgrades on Sloane Drive — company officials say the expansion will improve production capacity. - ➤ Little Rock police identified 18-year-old James Grind as he was fatally shot when someone opened fire on his home at 6 Diamanitina Way around midnight Tuesday—officers said multiple bullets hit the building and shell casings were found outside, and no suspects have been named. - ➤ Little Rock officials worked on Wednesday to put out over 14 fires caused by high winds and dry conditions that damaged grass, trees and some homes—no injuries were reported and teams from the fire and police departments responded quickly while urging residents to avoid downed power lines during the burn ban.
