- ➤ UAMS assistant professor Yunmeng Liu received a five-year NIH grant of $3.6 million to study how diabetes may lead to heart disease and kidney damage. The university announced the funding on Wednesday to develop prevention strategies. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
