- ➤ Arkansas Arts Council has named Oark potter Stephen Driver as its 2025 Arkansas Living Treasure—an honor that comes with a $5,000 award funded by the Windgate Foundation. - ➤ A legislative panel on Tuesday endorsed a bill to enact Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ plan—expected to give pay raises to about two-thirds of the 22,500 executive branch employees, with the new pay plan to be implemented soon. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed legislation Tuesday—authorizing executions by nitrogen gas and making Arkansas the fifth state to use this method. The law takes effect 90 days after the Legislature adjourns in April and comes after executions halted in 2017 when lethal injection drugs became unavailable. ABC 7
