- ➤ Arkansas police confirmed that the body found inside a vehicle near Little Rock Air Force Base is that of Belva Day—95 years old and reported missing on February 6, whose car was later linked to her disappearance. THV 11
- ➤ Stephen Lister, a former teacher and coach at Collegiate Episcopal School, was sentenced to 36 years in prison by Judge Leon Johnson after being convicted on two counts of sexual assault with a child—Little Rock Police led the investigation. ABC 7
- ➤ Attorney General Tim Griffin on March 13, 2025 secured a legal victory against David Tyler, owner of Tyler Pools, who defrauded customers by misleading them about his contractor’s license, failing to deliver promised services, and threatening them—resulting in a court order for him to pay $73,361.59 in restitution and $110,000 in civil penalties while barring him from contracting work in Arkansas. - ➤ An overnight power outage at the Pulaski County Detention Center in Little Rock led to rumors of a riot that prompted a police response but officials confirmed no riot occurred and backup generators restored power by 11 p.m.—inmates remain safe while the cause of the outage is under investigation. - ➤ Central Arkansas Water board of commissioners on Thursday approved up to $219 million for the overhaul of the Jack H. Wilson Water Treatment Plant in Little Rock—this funding will support planned upgrades and essential construction work. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ Number nine seeded Arkansas Razorbacks beat South Carolina 72–68 in the SEC Tournament after almost giving up a twenty point lead until D.J. Wagner made an important three point shot. The team now gets ready to face Ole Miss on the SEC Network at noon. ABC 7
- ➤ Little Rock Christian made history by naming Whitley Rogers the first Gatorade Girls Player of the Year after she averaged 24.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.5 steals to help the team finish with a 22-5 record and earn a state tournament spot. - ➤ Kaylee Montgomery from Batesville did not beat her record at the cross country state championships on November 8 but stopped to help a rival finish the race and was honored for her selfless act at an Arkansas education board meeting + her gesture showed true sportsmanship in a challenging race day. - ➤ Maumelle won its state semifinal over Little Rock Catholic and will face Benton at Bank OZK Arena in Hot Springs at 1:45 p.m. Friday in a rematch of last season’s quarterfinal game as the Hornets try for their first state title.
