- ➤ Saracen Casino Resort will open its doors on Saturday, June 13 at its Event Center for an evening performance by multi-platinum artist John Legend. Tickets (starting at $149) will go on sale Friday, Feb. 27 (10 a.m. CST). ABC 7
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Sarah Huckabee-Sanders highlighted record visitor spending of $10.3 billion in outdoor tourism last year and outlined new initiatives at Monday's Governor's Conference on Tourism in Little Rock + these efforts aim to boost local outdoor tourism. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ Arkansas college students can apply for paid conservation internships that let them work with Game and Fish experts in fields like wildlife management and environmental policy. - ➤ Juniors Jack Liu and Shangyu Wu led Little Rock Central High's debate team to win the Harvard University National Speech and Debate Tournament on Monday, Feb. 23. They became the first team from Arkansas to capture a national title after defeating several elite teams. ABC 7

- ➤ USDA is urging Arkansas farmers and livestock producers to report winter losses and seek disaster aid by submitting required documents to their local USDA Service Center by March 1. The program helps with crop, land, animal, & tree losses. ABC 7
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Arkansas health officials report flu cases are down nearly 30% compared to this time last year, with around 9,000 cases and fewer hospitalizations and deaths. Siloam Springs schools are also seeing fewer absences as staff promote preventive measures (handwashing and staying home when sick). THV 11

- ➤ Arkansas guard Darius Acuff earned his first SEC Player of the Week honor Monday after averaging 34.5 points, 5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1 steal in a double-overtime loss to No. 17 Alabama and a win over Missouri.
