  • Little Rock officials issued a business license to Redeemed Timber Co. today + the license allows the company to begin operations under city guidelines.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Uniti Group will spend $1 billion on fiber-optic infrastructure in 2026 to support growing data center demand and rural internet, following its merger with Windstream.   • Arkansas singer-songwriter Jesse Welles from Ozark received four Grammy nominations and was featured on 'CBS Sunday Morning' last Sunday. He will start his tour on Feb. 23 with sold-out shows (including one at Ozark Music Hall on March 28).  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Policy changes have lowered SNAP funding and child care payments, worsening food insecurity and health challenges for children in the state & reducing access to care, while experts note rising mental health and chronic condition issues. LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Catherine, the zoo’s oldest gorilla, was euthanized Monday after heart failure and breathing issues led staff to end her suffering — she was 42, born in Toronto, and joined the Little Rock Zoo in 2004 after living at Columbus.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • On Saturday, the Razorbacks overcame injuries with a rotation of seven players to beat Mississippi State 88 to 68; the win ended their longest SEC away losing streak since 2015 and sets up a Tuesday game at LSU at 8 p.m.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
