EDUCATION NEWS

  • UA Pulaski Tech will build a workforce training center using $20 million in Congressionally directed funding adjacent to the Port Authority offices on Industrial Harbor Drive.   • The UA System Board appointed interim Chancellor Dr. Lowry Barnes as UAMS chancellor starting March 1. He won a nationwide search and replaces Dr. Cam Patterson, who stepped down last June.  ABC 7
  • Mount Saint Mary Academy — founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1851 — celebrated its 175th anniversary Thursday, Feb. 5 in Little Rock, marking a long legacy in education.  THV 11
