- ➤ Academics Plus named Kyron Jones as its new CEO with his term starting July 1 at Maumelle charter schools. North Little Rock Middle School's sixth grade campus is launching a plan (small group lessons on Fridays and self-paced programs) to improve test scores in math, reading, and science. - ➤ The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission voted to set new trout limits at tailwater fisheries in Little Rock to boost fishing after hatchery losses. The limits, effective Feb. 1, impact anglers on the White River, North Fork, and Beaver and Greers Ferry tailwaters. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Duck hunters in Arkansas are debating the practice of leaving unharvested crops — known as legal baiting — after landowners' actions have raised concerns about duck availability on public lands.
