- ➤ NAACP Drew County Branch is holding its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration with a community cleanup on Jan. 10 at Jordan Park, a youth showcase on Jan. 18 at Revival Center Church, and a day-long summit on Jan. 19 at the Sadie Johnson Building featuring keynotes and empowerment sessions. - ➤ Beef prices are set to rise 5 to 6 percent in 2026 as supply tightens amid low herd levels, which will likely drive up steak costs.
